DH Aquarium is a small aquarium and supplies store that has been operating in Melbourne for seven years. They are looking to upgrade their website to attract more customers and drive sales growth. As a small business, they hope to adopt a simple, modern, and lightweight web design that effectively showcases their products and philosophy.
The previous website design suffered from outdated aesthetics, cluttered information as well as unprofessional imagery that led to poor navigation and user experience. These issues risked undermining the brand’s credibility, causing visitors to question its professionalism and form negative impressions of product quality.
Through a strategic redesign of the website’s navigation and visuals, I successfully improved user engagement, increasing both the time visitors spent on the site and the contact rate by 88%.
The entire project spanned approximately eight days, including three days of website design, three days of product photography and retouching, and one day for uploading products. The project covered the design and development of the homepage, category pages, and product pages, along with the upload of around 300 products and editing of approximately 150 images. The entire project was independently managed and completed by myself.
